Vacation, we all plan to travel somewhere. But knowing a few more tips can get you a better rate, discount, and even a few extra hours FREE.

Aloha, I live on one of Hawaii’s beautiful islands surrounded by magical oceans shores. Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island are favorite tourist destinations not forgetting Oahu a great location for tourist visiting the Hawaiian Islands for the first time. Most of us search the web for hotel accommodation finding lots and lots to choose from. Many of these rentals are booked through a Property Management Co. each having many as 300-plus listed vacation sites. When booking your rental with a Property Management Co. you are giving them your time and money. For many years I have worked with condo Owners who decided to take there rental off Property Management listings and created there own web page.

For many tourist who travel, they soon learn that booking a condo instead of a hotel can save you money. Booking a condo puts you in direct contact with the Owner. As an arriving guest to the islands you must have many questions either about the condo or the island. Being the Owner she/he can help you with just about everything from the bed sizes to the decor having a CD/DVD player. She/he can tell you about the best beaches, restaurants, food markets and the local grown framers market.

Renting a condo is also great if you have children, it has all the comforts like home including a washer/dryer. I bet everything I have said so far might seem far from possible but it does not stop there, there is more to renting a condo. So you got every bit of information possible including your arrival confirmation, phone numbers and notes of the best way to get to your condo. Remember you can call the Owner for any information you need they are willing to help in anyway.

Most condos are completely stocked with daily items such as paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap, cascade, even bath soap and many other items. Is this not great especially if you are traveling with a family. All these extra things do add up but wait many guest before you have left behind things too like shampoo, beach toys, beach chairs, canned food so you now know what saving you start off with. But Aim not finish yet. I bet it is safe to say that most people have stayed in a hotel/hotel room and having or finding these extra items is zero. But there is a small plus to a hotel/hotel room you get daily maid service. Do not worry you can also get that same service when renting a condo just ask.

Now listen careful I can only say this once. When you arrive to your condo it will be clean and organized. Just maybe I was the one that cleaned your condo before you arrived. My name and number will be either on your information sheet or posted in the condo. This information will come in handy if for any reason you are unable to reach the Owner you can call me the cleaner. Aim the only one beside the Owner that knows the entry codes/keys and is allowed in the condo. Tell me is knowing who has the entry codes/keys make you feel more comfortable.

Okay let’s talk about if your flight departs later then your condo check out time. Most guest will say I thought it was 11:am check out but its 10:am. Owners will allow there guest to stay later without charging them providing there is no incoming guest. Many times the Owner will ask me to return the call that is requesting the late check out. Since she does not know my schedule it is only fair that I approve the request which is always in favor of the guest besides aim just the cleaner.

So your next vacation to the Hawaiian Islands, book a condo and ask all your questions you have lots to gain and smile about. There is many private Owners with condos willing to work with you on getting the best possible rate. I call it the pinch and pay deal.

Fully Furnished Condo – A Great Investment

An apartment complex is the closest relative to a condominium, as it shares similar features. There are individually owned units; But, homeowners association controls the common areas and facilities. These areas and facilities include roofs, hallways, heating and cooling systems, and other exterior structures. All expenses and responsibilities related to these elements are handled by the homeowners association. There are various advantages and disadvantages of living in a condo. However, if you want to buy a fully furnished condo for an investment, you must keep in mind several factors.

Advantages of investing in a condo:

1. If you buy a condo in a proper area with a good surrounding, you can expect a premium monthly rental or premium resell cost. There is area where supply of condos is way higher than the population. On the other hand, there are certain places where people do not get condos in a hurry. When it comes to buying a condo, you should necessarily gauge the prospect of the area and its housing requirements.

2. The restrictions and rules in condos have restrictions that help maintain the value of the property. There is generally a strict set of guidelines in condos that tenants are bound follow. Thus, the condition of property remains constant throughout, making it great for rental or resell.

3. A home is always more costly than a condo, even if it is not in a very good location. The purchase price of condos in a high property value area will also be much more affordable than a home in that area. The cost of maintenance is shared, thus making the amenities and external facilities easier to pay for.

4. Fully furnished condos offer great amenities such as furniture, home appliances and facilities such as a pool, football field, tennis court and gym. It is great because you do not have to separately pay any charge towards the maintenance of these facilities. Moreover, the resell or rental price is high as your condo is well equipped.

5. If there is a major damage or a minor breakdown, you would have to pay your share. This is good if realized from another point of view. Had it been your own home, you would have to pay the entire money. In a condo, you are just paying a fare share for mending an amenity that you regularly use.

The Summit Ski Museum celebrates the first ski town in Colorado and the first 100 years of skiing in Summit County. The Museum is a colorful look into the history of skiing in Summit County. You can watch a ski documentary, see vintage skis, and read about skiing at its very beginnings. The museum features vintage clothing, equipment, and a special exhibit about the 10th Mountain Division. The Ski Museum is located in downtown Breckenridge.

The 10th Mountain Division established Camp Hale near Leadville, Colorado in 1942. The purpose of the Mountain Division was to train soldiers at high altitude to prepare them for winter survival and skiing to battle against the Nazis in the mountains of northern Italy. Unfortunately, 992 ski troopers had lost their lives and 4,000 were wounded by the time the Germans surrendered in 1945.

Sculptor, Robert Eccelston created the 10th Mountain Division Memorial in Riverfront Park in Breckenridge. The stands 6′X 7′ X 3′ and was completed in 2003. The inscription on the Monument reads: “This monument is dedicated to the brave mountaineers who fought and died spearheading the allied drive to push the German Army out of Italy during World War II. This monument also pays tribute to the veterans of America’s “ski troops” who in their peacetime role became leaders in business, sports, and the ski industry in America.”
